What Is it?

Food Packaging IML involves placing a pre-printed polypropylene label inside an open mold before molten resin is injected. The heat and pressure of molding permanently bond the label to the package wall. Unlike pressure-sensitive labels or shrink sleeves, the label becomes part of the container structure itself. This eliminates edge lifting, bubbling, peeling, and moisture ingress behind the label. The result is a food package with a high-resolution, scuff-resistant, waterproof decoration that survives freezing, microwaving, hot filling, and industrial washing.

For food producers, this means fewer rejected units, longer shelf appeal, and a cleaner, more sustainable package because the entire container and label are made from the same recyclable material class, typically polypropylene.
