What Makes this IML Labels Different

In-mold labeling, commonly called IML, places a pre-printed polypropylene or specialty film inside the injection mold cavity before molten resin is introduced. The heat and pressure of molding bond the label to the tableware surface at a molecular level. There is no adhesive layer, no post-printing step, and no risk of label detachment. The label becomes an integral part of the product wall. This is especially important for tableware that undergoes repeated washing, microwave use, and contact with acidic or oily foods.

Zhongyu produces IML labels with a reverse-printed design. The ink is trapped between the film and the plastic substrate, so the printed side faces inward and is fully protected by the film.
